Jason Harron is a Ph.D. student at The University of Texas at Austin specializing in Learning Technology. For the past three years he has been working with the UTeach pre-service program as a teaching and graduate research assistant. This past year he helped launch UTeach Maker, which is an endorsement program for pre-service teachers that aims to empower STEM educators through constructionism practices in education. Jason studies how technology helps lower barriers to creativity and expression in education and has published research in the areas of K-12 makerspaces, massive open online classes (MOOCs), and using student mobile devices to experience virtual reality (VR) field trips.
